Dante's Peak

I already tried to ride my bike to this cache last week, but could not get through because of the heavy trucks that were driving around. On Sunday, I figured, there shouldn't be too much traffic. So when having a rest on Mt. Stromlo today, I decided to go for Dante's peak.

I just followed the general direction towards the cache without much of an idea of whether there would be trails or roads. And I was, of course, blocked by the Molonglo river. After taking a few turns and then riding down a single trail, all of the sudden - probably by magic - a bridge materialized. It was not the kind of bridge you want to drive your car across, but for a mountainbike it was perfect. From then on it was just followong the fire trail. Awesome view! But it was a bit cold because of the wind.
