Closer to the stars

On the way back from Cotter, I wanted to get some coffee and cake. I remembered that on the way I had seen a sign announcing a cafe on Mt. Stromlo. So at the first possible point I took a left and went up the hill (always chosing the steepest climb). On top I had a nice piece of blackberry-coconut cake with a cappuccino - and I refilled my water bottles.

After finishing the cake I took a look at my GPS and, voila, a cache not too far away. So, off I went and found it easily.

The ruins still standing around show impressively the power of the firestorm in 2003.

P.S.: I almost forgot. When approaching the summit, I was attacked by a vicious magpie. So be careful when coming up Mt Stromlo on a bike!
