A CLEAR Loop

When I contacted mtbikeroz a couple of months ago about nice MTB cache tours in ACT, he suggested the "Clear loop". And since I do not have any transportation apart from my rented mountainbike, mtbikeroz also offered to show and drive me around. Well, because I did not know better, I agreed [;)]. And so mtbikeroz picked me up this morning at 6am [|)].

I expected just a short ride up the hill [8D]. How wrong I was I only found out in the end. In any case, we had splendid weather, the surrondings were great and the only thing I missed was a view from the summit of Mt. Clear.

Completing the loop was the hard thing! First, we went down on really steep trails. And that means these were trails you really do not want to ride up. And then ... It was an up and down all the time until in the end my GPSr told me that we went 1300 meters up on the entire loop [xx(].

So, all in all, mtbikeroz was right in suggesting this cache tour. It was a great experience and a lot of fun!
